The Hand Center of San Francisco is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art Hand, Wrist, & Upper Extremity Surgery services to patients in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California Regions.

Kyle D. Bickel, M.D., FACS is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He specializes in Hand, Wrist, and Upper Extremity Surgery.  Dr. Bickel and his Staff are dedicated to providing the very best care possible to their patients.

We provide a number of unique services that make the Hand Center of San Francisco a "one-stop shopping" location for our patients. On site real-time digital fluouroscopy makes X-Ray Imaging immediate and convenient without the need to travel to other locations. We perform electrodiagnostic testing in the office for diagnosing nerve compressions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and other neuropathies of the upper extremities. On-site Hand Therapy with the Certified Hand Therapists at Golden Gate Hand Therapy makes scheduling appointments and follow-up care with the doctor and hand therapist simple and convenient.

Dr. Bickel also has extensive experience in Medical-Legal issues surrounding the field of upper extremity injuries and treatment, as well as issues of Worker's Compensation. Patients are seen by appointment only. We participate in many insurance plans, including Worker's Compensation. To determine whether we are a provider in your plan, please contact the plan directly, or the Office Manager at the Hand Center of San Francisco. Arrangements for Out-of-Network care can be made on an individual basis. Patients requiring prior authorization from their insurance plan for specialty care are responsible for obtaining and verifying authorization prior to their scheduled appointment.
